    Hell. I drive a 1984 Toyota pickup - its a work truck, not a fashion statement - with over 150,000 miles on the engine. And it consistently gets over 27 MPG, including with a load. The sad thing is taht this is better mileage than the averagemileage of the entire US auto fleet.
